CCF Storytelling

“Rajawat”, one great sample for today’s youngsters in following economic self-sufficiency

Associate Prof. Dr. Varakorn Samakoses, CCF’s president, along with the team of CCF directors; Pol. Lt. Gen. Pojanee Suntornket, Mrs. Tipvipa Suwanrath, and Mrs. Thanya Sirivethin were engaging in a conversation with Rajawat (or Police) our CCF’s Sufficiency Economy lead youth in NakornPanom.

Here at CCF, we help lifting the lives of children and their families up and equip them with relevant knowledge so they can be financially independent, in accordance with our HM the King’s Sufficiency Economy philosophy.

Today, we proudly present the 2014/2015 Sufficiency Economy Lead Youth from NakornPanom, Rajawat (or Police), 15, Grade 10 from Mahachai Wittayakom school. Police lives with his mother and step father who often go places as they are construction workers, they also take any odd jobs. Since he was little, Police has lived on his own and look after himself when the two adults leave home for work.

The boy is always interested in joining activities that CCF NakornPanom Child Development Centers organizers. He has participated in CCF’s ‘Local Health Care Volunteer’ and ‘Children’s Rights Core Youth Leader’ programs. In registering into the Sufficiency Economy Lead Youth program, Police received some essential supplies; 5 vegetable seeds, nylon net, watering can, spray tin for EM solution (EM: Effective Microorganism), 300 baby catfish, 5 domestic chickens, and 5 laying hens.

Nowadays, his domestic chickens have produced about 10 chicks. His home-grown vegetables are also the success, there is plenty and more than enough for his family. He then sells them and earn some money out of it. Police told us the vegetables here are 100% organic, using EM solution instead of chemical substances as learned from CCF training. People in the community are kind and support him by buying the fresh produce from him. His mum can also make use of the vegetables as part of the ingredients for her cooking that she sells in the local market.

The impressive result of Police’s great effort

Every day, coming back from school, Police would enthusiastically water the vegetables he plants at the backyard of his house.
